Goddess Run 2022 is Coming Up Quick!

The 2022 edition of the Victoria Goddess Run is the 10th anniversary of this amazingly fun event. This year’s event will take place on June 4 in Langford, BC (just outside of Victoria, BC). The live event will feature an 8K and 5K, plus a fun post-race festival with music, entertainment, games, expo, presents and more.

What I LOVE about the Goddess Run is that it is a community of women and girls who come together to celebrate their stories, goals, and challenges. It is more than just a run, but an opportunity to connect and inspire each other throughout the year.

Here are my top three reasons to sign up for the Goddess Run:

1.Connect with amazing women who empower each other. Over the years, I’ve connected with some fantastic women because of the Goddess Run, including the race director Cathy Noel, who is also a local real estate agent. Cathy is a wonderful member of the local running community who has put her heart and soul into a number of  running events over the years that I’ve known her.

This is a great way to make new friends who share similar goals and who will encourage you even if the going gets tough. Studies suggest that those who develop meaningful friendships live longer, happier and healthier lives. Furthermore, you will be more likely to each your goals if you have friends who inspire you.

Regardless of your pace, you will be supported when you are part of the Goddess community.

2.Fantastic swag. When you take part in the Goddess Run, you will receive fabulous swag, including: technical shirt, medal, race bag and some presents. I LOVE collecting race medals and have a wall in my home office where I hang them all. If you like to “run for bling”, then you should definitely sign up.

3.Support good causes in your community. Not only do you get awesome race swag, but you will also have an opportunity to give back by supporting local charities and great causes. This year’s charities include: Victoria Women’s Transition House, Military Family Resource Centre and one of the Goddesses, Rose O’Neill, who the Goddess Run is raising money for to help her pay for her prosthetic. I love supporting charities and giving back to the community.

I look forward to seeing you at this year’s Goddess Run 🙂
