I’m very delighted to announce that I received a COROS PACE 2 GPS watch and have been using it now since early 2023.
I originally got the watch in late 2022 to use for my Guinness World Record attempt for most consecutive days running an ultramarathon distance. Unfortunately, I got very sick in late 2022 and was unable to attempt the record.
Now, after being off running for nearly four months, I’m excited to be back at it and I’m thrilled to have the COROS PACE 2 as my training partner while I work towards running the Chicago Marathon in the fall of 2023.
The COROS PACE 2 is very light and fits great on my small wrist.
My COROS PACE 2 has a dark nylon band but there is an option to get a silicone band. I prefer the nylon band because I believe it’s much more durable and will last a long time. I also find that the nylon band is more adaptable to my wrist size.
The COROS PACE 2 offers 30 hours of full GPS battery life, which is absolutely wonderful even though I’m not doing ultramarathons for the next little while. I find that I don’t have to charge it as often as my Garmin that I used to have. Furthermore, navigation was also added in the latest firmware update on the PACE 2.
Additionally, the COROS PACE 2 offers 20 days of daily use. That’s 20 days of tracking heart rate and sleeping, triggering backlight, measuring steps, getting notifications and even alarms every day.
The COROS PACE 2 has a 50m water resistance rating, which means that you can wear it for swimming and track your swims, in addition to runs and bike rides. In fact, it features run, bike, swim, cardio, strength, and water modes.
Furthermore, I found that the COROS PACE 2’s GPS is more accurate than its’ competitors. I’ve had many GPS watches over the years and the COROS PACE 2 is definitely my favorite.
All your data from your runs, swims, rides and daily life is stored in the free COROS App. The COROS PACE 2 also seamlessly integrates with Strava.
The COROS App shows your run time, average pace, best mile time, average heart rate, calories burned, elevation gain, running performance and training load. It also allows you to see your cadence, stride length, and running power. Additionally, it shows you how fast you completed each km of your run. It will also tell you how many hours it will take for you to be fully recovered, your daily heart rate and the number of hours you slept.
Personally, I love to geek out over data because I’m able to see what I need to do next as well as where I fall short.
You can order yourself a COROS PACE 2 on Amazon. I hope that you will love your new watch as much as I do.
